Pair Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Vases by Sibray, Hall & Co of Sheffield

  
A pair of antique sterling silver vases by Sibray, Hall & Co, a Sheffield silversmiths. They have London hallmarks for 1893 making them late Victorian in period. They are of classical styling with scrolled foliage design in the Rococo taste. The rims are reeded and this design is reflected in the bases. Such examples were often used on dinner tables for small posies of flowers. The odd minor indent, some rubbing of the hallmarks. Minor knocks to the bases, look fine to display as can be seen in the images. Height: 9.8 cm (3 7/8 inch).
