English Oval Tray Gilt Sterling Silver London 1887 Martin Hall Co Llama Crest. Victorian era English all over gilt sterling silver oval form tray, richly decorated with repousse swags, fruits and flower bouquets along the border. In the center, there is an engraved Llama Head crest with two oak branches and the motto "Cura Atque Industria" (Responsibility And Industries). Tray has 4 applied ball feet.
Made by Martin, Hall & Co. (Richard Martin and Joshua Hall), London, 1887. This fabulous tray is 12 3/4" long, 9 5/8" wide and weighs 574.8 grams or 18.5 ozs Troy.
