Antique Georgian 1795 Sterling Silver Tablespoon Serving Spoon Old English Hall
Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Georgian sterling silver tablespoon, made by William Hall of London, c-1795. The spoon has been produced in the popular Old English design with bright cut detail, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some minor distortion to the rim evident, nothing serious). The spoon features a well executed monogram to the face, with the hallmarks wearing to the reverse (previous erasure from verso evident contributing to loss of hallmarks). A very attractive piece for the collection. The spoon measures 21cm long and weighs in at 50gms unpacked. To see my other items! Sterling silver offered at William Sharpe Antiques is original and authentic, showing signs of use over its life. Unless expressly stated above, all pieces are free from major structural damage. However, normal signs of use including shallow depressions, fine scratches, and minor pattern and hallmark wear should be expected. All pieces (unless expressly stated above) have undertaken a very light polish with respect to the original patina, and a decision for further polishing will be left to the new custodian. Please note that items listed (unless otherwise advertised) are antiques and are not brand new.
